Massachusetts’ Value Statement (MVS)

Massachusetts is committed to minimizing the release of environmental pollutants* in our air, water, and soil for the well-being of its citizens as well as the well-being of its ecosystems. Measures to protect the resources, citizens, and environment of the Commonwealth should come with the consideration of impacts on third parties (ie. another state, province, territory or country).

* Massachusetts defines pollutants as chemicals or waste products that adversely impact the well–being of the Commonwealth’s citizens and environment.
